Young Leaders Program Scholarship
Hitotsubashi ICS is the only graduate school in Japan where recipients of the prestigious and competitive YLP scholarships offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) are eligible to study business management and become candidates for an MBA in International Business Strategy. This scholarship supports privately financed foreign students with good grades who have financial difficulties in studying at higher education institutions in Japan. Currently, citizens of Brunei, China, South Korea, Mongolia, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Singapore and Australia are eligible to apply for an YLP scholarship to study at Hitotsubashi ICS.
The purpose of the YLP is as follows:
- Promote the development of young leaders throughout Asia in both the public and the private sectors.
- Develop a global network of young leaders.
- Contribute to improve relationships among Japan and other countries of Asia.
YLP scholarship recipients who choose to study at Hitotsubashi ICS are primarily from the private sector (as opposed to the public sector). In contrast to other Japanese graduate schools that accommodate YLP scholarship recipients, YLP students study in the regular one-year MBA program together with other enrolled students at Hitotsubashi ICS and must meet all graduation requirements in order to be granted an MBA degree. If you are eligible and interested, please contact the Japanese Embassy of the country for which you are a citizen to obtain application materials. Please note that the application requirements for YLP scholarship candidates (application deadline, etc.) may differ from standard application requirements. Please contact the relevant Japanese Embassy as early as possible.
